Car Advertisements of 1920’s

With the rapid development of ecomomy, advertisement has become a part of people’s life. Merchants also try their best to advertise their products to attract comsumers’ interest in this keen competition society. Therefore, we can enjoy the different and attractive advertisements from TV. Obveriously, we can watch many car advertisenments on TV. However, there wasn’t TV in 1920s. What are styles of car advertisements at that time?

It’s all to know that print media was the most popular form of advertising before the advent of television and radio advertising. The article will be presented some car ads at the time.

1924 Ford Model T Sedan: A Ford car advertisement targeting business women, smaller cars for women drivers.

1926 Franklin Sedan: Art deco style Franklin sedan advertisement.


1928 Chevrolet Two Door Sedan: Car advert by Chevrolet targeting women drivers.

1930 Pierce Arrow Coupe: An up-market straight-eight coupe from Pierce Arrow. It associated a coupe with outdoor recreation in the golf.
